    Product description

Drinking from a copper cup is an important part of an Ayurvedic health routine. Ayurveda recommends drinking from a copper cup, and modern science supports many of the health benefits.

Copper is an essential mineral for the body and is difficult to supplement in the diet because foods containing copper contain only small amounts. When drinking water from a copper cup, the water absorbs the copper and nutrients. Benefits that have been researched include: improved immunity and digestion, increased metabolism, and balanced pH levels. Furthermore, scientific studies have shown that copper removes bacteria and impurities from water through its anti-microbial properties.

Forrest & Love's copper cups and bottles are made from 99.7% pure copper and are made on a small scale in a workshop in India.

    Cleaning and maintenance

Do not put your copper cup in the dishwasher, but rinse it with water and possibly a mild soap. You can also use lemon juice and a little salt for a deeper cleanse.

Real copper can develop a natural tarnish, especially when exposed to moisture. This deposit is not rust and it is completely removable. To remove this you can use copper polish or a natural cleaning agent and a soft cloth. Wash the cup with soap and water before using it again. Lemon juice also works well, and is completely natural!
