This hand-woven yoga mat is made of 100% cotton. These types of yoga mats are also called 'Mysore Rugs' because they are traditionally used in Ashtanga yoga. This cotton yoga mat is therefore ideal for more intensive yoga styles such as Bikram, Ashtanga and Vinyasa. Because the mat is very absorbent and becomes stiffer as it becomes more humid, you are always assured of good grip.
The cotton yoga mat is best used in combination with a normal or travel yoga mat. This way the cotton mat stays in place and you have sufficient cushioning.
