100% TENCEL™ Lyocell

TENCEL Lyocell is made with eucalyptus from sustainably managed forests. With a chemical process, wood pulp is converted into super soft and yet very strong fibres. The light fabric is soft against the skin, breathable, extremely light and keeps you nice and cool. In addition, lyocell is easy to wash and completely biodegradable.

Sustainability

Iron Roots was founded in 2017 by three friends who were tired of almost all sportswear being made of plastic. When they looked for alternatives, they couldn't find any, so they decided to take matters into their own hands. Iron Roots makes sportswear that does not shed microfibres (a form of microplastic). This means that no small pieces of polluting plastics are released with every wash. In addition, 60% less CO2 is emitted during production compared to polyester clothing.

To ensure that all Iron Roots clothing is produced in a fair way, GOTS-certified factories (in Portugal and Greece) have been selected. These factories are visited regularly, giving Iron Roots the assurance that they are committed to fair manufacturing standards.
