    Product description

The bracelet is made of cotton thread with the symbol of a heart. The bracelet has a sliding clasp made of cotton thread.

The heart represents love in all forms. Love for others, but also for yourself. Ask yourself: are you kind to yourself? This heart says every day: don't forget yourself. Wear this symbol and feel the power and warmth of love.

The turtle is patient and wise. If the turtle could say anything to us, it would probably be: take your time. Enjoy your journey through life. At your own pace. Protect yourself. That's pretty good advice, don't you think? With this symbol you always have the wisdom of the turtle with you.

The hamsa hand is an Eastern symbol of protection. Sometimes you get overstimulated and it's just too much. Then it is good to take a step back. The Hamsa hand helps you protect yourself and reminds you that you can, no, must indicate your boundaries. Just when you want it.

The key represents new opportunities, endless possibilities and attention. Sometimes there are so many things to choose from that it overwhelms you. What do you want to focus on? What you pay attention to grows. Making a choice gives you breathing space. This key is your reminder: you choose what you pay attention to, and your choice is yours.

    About 'A Beautiful Story'

Once upon a time there was a small fair-trade silver factory in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Let's go back to the year 2005. In that year, about twenty silversmiths worked in the factory, all professionals who made the most beautiful jewelry. Dambar, the owner of the factory, wanted more customers for his products so that he could continuously provide work for his silversmiths. That message reached Cathelijne Lania, the founder of A Beautiful Story.

This small silver factory has been expanded in collaboration with A Beautiful Story. The jewelry is designed in the Netherlands and produced in Kathmandu, where employees receive fair wages, many career opportunities and good working conditions.

    Sustainability and Fair Trade

A Beautiful Story would like to help make the world a bit more beautiful. That is why they consider the impact on the world around us in everything they do. Sometimes that is quite difficult, because the products are made in countries that are very far away. The jewelry then comes to us by plane. Not really environmentally conscious... Yet A Beautiful Story chooses this, because their heart lies with the people in developing countries, who have enormous talent and craftsmanship, but do not always get the chance to find their way to the market.

That is why A Beautiful Story focuses on fair trade, in short, creating opportunities for producers in an economically difficult situation. They try to solve the other dilemmas that this entails, such as the impact on the environment, as best as possible.

From the first moment, A Beautiful Story acts according to fair-trade criteria. They believe it is very important that every employee in the chain earns a fair living for their work. Fair trade promotes sustainable development in international trade, especially in exports from poor countries to rich Western countries.

A Beautiful Story has an official certification with the World Fair Trade Organization, see This means that our customers and visitors do not just have to believe us 'on our blue eyes', but can rely on an official body that carries out inspections
