GOTS guarantees that the fabrics are made without any risk to humans. This means good working conditions for the workers and the absolute exclusion of child labor. The GOTS certification also means that during the production of the fabrics, the partners manage their waste and pollution responsibly. They also use energy sparingly. Various protocols are in place to ensure a sound environmental management system is in place. Urban Goddess visits most factories themselves, or otherwise one of their agents visits them. This way, in addition to all the guarantees provided by the certification, they can also be confident that all the ethical principles they consider so important are being adhered to.
