Modal is a fabric made from beech wood from sustainable forests. A chemical process converts wood pulp into super soft yet very strong fibers. The fabric breathes very well and falls beautifully; it is therefore also called artificial silk. Organic cotton is produced under ecologically and ethically correct conditions. The GOTS certification (Global Organic Textile Standard) ensures that cotton farmers, dyers and seamstresses receive a fair wage.
