Cleaning and maintenance

A copper bottle is best cleaned with lemon juice. Squeeze half a lemon into the bottle and mix it with a tablespoon of salt and 1 to 2 cups of warm water. Shake the bottle well, pour out the liquid and rinse with water.

Real copper can develop a natural tarnish, especially when exposed to moisture. This tarnish is not rust and is completely removable. To remove it, use copper polish or a natural cleaner and a soft cloth. Wash the bottle with soap and water before using it again. Lemon juice works well too, and is completely natural!
